It is also very driver sensitive, meaning it needs care updating drivers and system configurations. The game is friendly regarding hardware if full grids aren't experienced, although a high end machine is necessary to get the best experience out of the sim. Although, most of the game mod database still needs work as it's been ported from old sims who couldn't provide as much as current hardware can handle. The default ISI track lineup is also very good, complemented by high quality third party add-ons. It relies heavily on third party content regarding cars. The game is acknowledged to be one of the best simulators in the market, combined with a estabilished netcode and online managing features, it is one of most versatile sims currently. It is considered to be the natural successor of rFactor 1, featuring noticeable improvements, including the first interpretation of a dynamic track in racing sims: Realroad. RFactor 2 is the latest iteration of Image Space Incorporated customer sims. And by no means it is a representative of the game creators, therefore it isn't a priority to keep it up to date and 100% accurate. Reduced dust output on the curbs and concrete a tad further. Reduced bump amplification on concrete extensions. Further optimization possible with shadow groups and vis groups. (Repositioned trees, moved and removed tree lines, optmized road, curbs, and scenery objects, merging and splitting them into smaller pieces, and optimized the LODs and shadows all around.
